Successful Surgery

Just wanted to send out a quick update on Emma’s surgery. Surgery went very smoothly and she is currently resting in her hospital room. Emma had both her tonsils and adenoids removed today, and her doctor shared that both were extremely large. In fact he stated that her adenoids had around a 95% blockage and her tonsils were so large that he had to hold her jaw in order to get a good picture of them prior to removal. Long story short, this was a clearly needed surgery and hopefully this will really help her breathe better in the long run!

It can be a bit of a recovery ahead, but Emma is starting on a strong foot by devouring popsicles, jello, and ice cream. Thanks for your continued prayers and support, barring any unforeseen complications Emma should be home tomorrow.
