Home
Just a quick post to let everyone know that we made it home safely with Liam last night. He was certainly happy to be home! It has been quite journey over these last 18 days, and while it wasn’t a chapter we intended to be a part of Liam’s story, we are so grateful for the many ways God showed us his love and presence through this experience. Most evidently, His love was consistently shown through the actions of all of you. The texts, emails, calls and prayers reminded us we weren’t alone and the generosity and meals helped us focus on Liam during these long days.
The journey in recovery won’t stop for Liam. He is still in continuous feeds so now the process shifts to slowly getting him back to eating via bolus feeds through out the day. We will continue to take the gentle approach which will take time. We will also begin the process of trying to gain back strength and skills which have declined, and gain back body weight which was also lost during the hospital stay. Additionally, there have been many appointments canceled so we will work to get those rescheduled, most importantly the next appointments related to possibly epilepsy surgery later in the year.
There have been so many wonderful gifts our family has received through this process, and one of them was the nightly rosary that was held on zoom at 8pm for Liam. It became something that our entire family looked forward too. Because of this, we are going to continue on with that practice in our home, and anyone who would like to join us from time to time on zoom is welcome to click on the link below. I’m not sure how long we will continue on via zoom, but for now we will try to do this nightly and would welcome anyone who would like to join us.
Thank you again for being a part of our incredible village. We are truly so deeply blessed by all of you. May God greatly bless you and your family always.

Wonderful! Praise God that you’re home!
So glad you're safely home! Relax and regroup. God bless.
